If i was 42 when i had a total hysterectomy how much longer will i have to endure menopause?

Carson

I was forced into menopause (hot flashes, night sweats) after my total hysterectomy. I use a hormone patch which works very well, but I wonder how much longer I'll have to use it.

Christian

Women who go through surgical menopause will sometimes have menopause symptoms until natural menopausal age.

I just turned 40 and am experiencing hot flashes is it menopause?

Hermine

I had a partial hysterectomy at the age of 28 for fibroid tumors. I already had 4 kids, and had been suffering for a couple of years. I turned 40 just 2 months ago, and have been having hot flashes for about 6 weeks, is it menopause or something else? We don't have medical insurance, so going to the doctor to run the normal test for menopause is not an option.

Adalberto

It just may. Take 800 or 1,000 IU of Vitamin E a day. See if it works, after a few days. Good luck

Isabell

I'm going to school to be a medical assistant, and we learned that women who have hysterectomies, tend to start menopause early. There's also pre-menopause that women can go through as early as in their 30's. My mom is 43 and is going through menopause. she also had a partial hysterectomy. I think it is very likely that you're going through menopause.

Lavinia

If you are over than 40 , it can be menaupose symptoms but at 40 you still be young and can give children again. Not sure! check : http://www. menopauseandweight. com see that site you can read and perhaps you will find an answer. But what it's obvious, don't use hormonal replacement. Hope for you good health.

Any thing i can do for early menopause due to hysterectomy?

Cara

I got a hysterectomy a few months ago and have ben on hormones ( Prempro ) for a little over a month now. I hate them they have all these side affects that are driving me nuts and I don't want to take them anymore. They give me cramps, nausea, depression and am really tired all the time and they also make me jumble my words some times. What can I do for hot flashes night sweats and mood swings?

Kacy

For menopause and it's health problems, I invite you to : http://menopauseandweight. com/sitemap. xml Surf different links there to know more about your menopause and differents problems related.

Louvenia

Google for info about Red Clover

Maira

Go to your doctor and ask for a different form of HRT. Patches and gels cause far less side effects as they are not absorbed through the liver.

What is the earliest age a woman can go through menopause?

Rex

Depends ;on your family history can start as early as 30's or as late as your 50's. Just depends on family history.

Raeann

im 25 and i have started because i tied my tubes but as early as early 20s

Faviola

The average age is 50 so 40 to 60 is normal. Women as young as 25 can be entering menopause. Having a tubal has NOTHING to do with menopause. A tubal does not alter the hormones which naturally drop off at menopause, all a tubal does is cut off the pathway for an egg to reach the uterus.

My mother is passing through menopause phase what should she take care of?

Pat

Currently she has no symptoms of hot flashes. Is there any specific dietary plans? what else should she take care of?

Collette

She should take a multivitamin for women over 50, Vitamin A for her eyes, Vitamin C as an antioxidant and Vitamin D plus Calcium/Magnesium for her bones. (She should consult with a naturopath or pharmacist about dosages.)She should get an annual screening mammogram and a pap smear every two years until age 70.She should see a doctor regularly for a medical check-up. She should be happy not to have hot flushes....I didn't either, some of us are lucky.

Elizebeth

First your mom should seek the advice from a doctor. Then getting proper information on Women's Health is also very important. I personally have addressed such women's issues by regularly visiting a comprehensive website dedicated to help women. Such website contains valuable resource information on all topics related to WOMEN HEALTH, OB GYN & MEDICAL EXAM. All the information is updated daily on a continuous basis. I invite you to have a look at it. Like myself, I am convinced that you will find all the appropriate solutions/answers as well as all the precautionary means and tools to keep her in good health for many years to come. http://www. gynecography. com
