Does a woman 50 yrs undergoing menopause require contraception?

Ernest

She is sexually active everyday and her periods are infrequest. If she does need contraception which is the one best suited other than condoms. Reason is shes menopausal hence maybe beyond pregnancy but because she get periods she can still get preg but they are irregular.

Allena

if she's still ahving periods, she's still producing eggs and can therefore become pregnant. she needs to use contraception

Cathern

you can still get pregnant while going through menopause, as you havent totally stopped your cycles yet, theyre jhust slwoing down. every heard of a chnage of life baby? my uncle is one of those, he has brothers who were in their thirties when he was born, his mom was menopausal and thought she couldnt get pregnant and then bam heres my uncle. she can still use birth control

Cedrick

That's something she should definitely ask her doctor about. But, if she's having periods, she can still get pregnant, so she needs to be using something.

Chantell

after she hits menopause she don't get her period which means no ovulation

Any thing i can do for early menopause due to hysterectomy?

Cara

I got a hysterectomy a few months ago and have ben on hormones ( Prempro ) for a little over a month now. I hate them they have all these side affects that are driving me nuts and I don't want to take them anymore. They give me cramps, nausea, depression and am really tired all the time and they also make me jumble my words some times. What can I do for hot flashes night sweats and mood swings?

Kacy

For menopause and it's health problems, I invite you to : http://menopauseandweight. com/sitemap. xml Surf different links there to know more about your menopause and differents problems related.

Louvenia

Google for info about Red Clover

Maira

Go to your doctor and ask for a different form of HRT. Patches and gels cause far less side effects as they are not absorbed through the liver.

Change in menstruation cycle with menopause?

Ardella

I am 49 yrs old and have always had regular periods. My last period was almost nothing. No cramps and hardly any bleeding at all, just light pink and sometimes a little brown. Is this a symptom of menopause.

Kathlene

It is one of many symptoms. Do you have hot flashes. At your age you very well could eb going into menopause. My wife stopped having periods when she was 47.

What age does menopause on average start?

Ethyl

Like my friend is 44 but hasnt had any symtoms...

Booker

Actually, it can start in your early 30s or in your 60s. It really isn't a magical thing. It is estrogen dominance. As our bodies age, progesterone production decreases more than estrogen production does. Couple that natural occurrence with the onslaught of phyto and xeno-estrogens in the life of the 21st century woman, and you can even see symptoms of estrogen dominance as young as 20! These extra estrogens in our lives are in anything soy, parabens, phenoxyethenol, and many other added chemicals. They are releases by microwaving in plastic, washing your hair, doing you laundry, and a host of other ways. We are being attacked by them. You friend must be living a fairly estrogen free lifestyle to still have no symptoms of estrogen dominance. But, then again, is she? I was 45 when I started realizing the my tiredness, weight gain, irregular periods, bloating, sleeplessness, liver pains and other symptoms were more than just aging. I started taking USP Progesterone (Progestelle brand) which is sold over the counter, and most of the symptoms went away within a month. I then started getting rid of the estrogens that were excess in my household, make my own laundry detergent, avoid all soy and even flax, no caffeine, and many other items on the lists, and feel much better. Every woman should educate herself on what menopause is - estrogen dominance, and live a lifestyle in preparation for the body changes which happen as we age. Dr. John Lee and Dr. William Eckhart, both MDs, are very well versed and you can find their literature and more by searching on the internet. It is well worth the education now! I wish I had known this about 10 years ago.

Chaya

when your 50

Elvin

average age for onset on menopause in the us is 52. Your friend has a long time to go.

Daina

IT DEPENDS...THERE'S THIS MYTH THAT GOES SOMETHING LIKE THIS, IF U WANT TO KNOW THE AGE OF UR MENOPAUSE JUST LOOK AT WHAT AGE UR MOM HAD HERS AND THERE IS 98% CHANCE THAT U'LL HAVE IT TOO AT THAT AGE SO LETS SAY FOR INSTANCE UR FRIENDS MOM HAD HERS AT 45 THEN UR FRIEND WILL HAVE IT 45 ETC. HOWEVER, THE AVERAGE IS 50 BUT AS AFORESAID IT DEPENDS ON THE PERSON'S MOTHER B/C ITS IN THE GENES

Kellee

I have heard 50 but hun I tell you the truth my friends are in their early forties and going through too... I am nearing forty and not looking forward to the horror stories I have heard.

Aundrea

If you want to know all about menopause there is a nice bookyou can get all your answers+ diet and natural advice in it www. ehealth4you. comgood luck

Melodi

Natural menopause occurs as your ovaries stop producing hormones. It usually occurs between the ages of 48 and 55, with the average at about 51 and a half years. However, if it is induced menopause which occurs when a woman has her ovaries surgically removed or when ovaries stop functioning, it can happen at any age.
