Does a woman 50 yrs undergoing menopause require contraception?

She is sexually active everyday and her periods are infrequest. If she does need contraception which is the one best suited other than condoms. Reason is shes menopausal hence maybe beyond pregnancy but because she get periods she can still get preg but they are irregular.

I got a hysterectomy a few months ago and have ben on hormones ( Prempro ) for a little over a month now. I hate them they have all these side affects that are driving me nuts and I don't want to take them anymore. Actually, it can start in your early 30s or in your 60s. It really isn't a magical thing. It is estrogen dominance.
