Any old time remedy for menopause?

Josette

A friend of mine has lost her ovaries to cancer recently. She is young, but due to this mishap, she is going through menopause. Any old time remedies?

Denese

She has lost a large percentage of ovary production by losing her ovaries. Now all the burden lies in the adrenal glands which normally produce 15% of the body's ovaries when the ovaries are still doing its job. So the adrenal glands need more support than ever. Vitamin C helps to support the adrenals as well as flaxseed oil, blackcurrant seed oil, Drenamin (from Standard Process Inc) has the best adrenal support supplement. Avoid things that weaken the adrenals: dairy products, caffeine, sugars, processed grain, sugar-free products, etc. Good luck to her!

Dairy products include anything with cow's milk: cheese, yogurt, ice cream, as well as chocolate. Refined sugars, high fructose corn syrup, enriched flour, etc. will greatly weaken the adrenals. Report Abuse

yes i am 51 and going through the same thing, go out side and scream as loud as you can, then go take a cool shower for the hot flashes and have some ice tea also get some menopause med. to help

Well you'll see menopause is cuased by the lack of sexual hormones produced by the ovaries. I don't the precise technique used i your friend but if both were extracted, there is no natural production in her body of estrogen therefore she would need supplemetary hormone therapy at for to get over the symptomes and even if there are estrogens naturally produced by plants, fitoestrogens, they are to be taken seriously and your endocrinologist is the most qualified person to give you advice in this matter because hormone replacement therapy cannot be taken ligthly.
