What do you think about the hypotheses proposed to try and explain the existence of menopause?

Lyndsey

Am i too young to be going through menopause?

Conception

I havent had my menstration for 3 months now and i m really worried why would i not have my period unless i was going through menopause??? I have had 3 kids, had my tubes tied. I am 36 yrs old.

Lori

It is rather young. However I also went straight into menopause after my tubal ligation. I suspect a connection. Ask your doc for a blood test to check your hormone levels.

Hettie

It's rare to go into menopause at 36. Have you been very stressed lately or have you gained or lost weight quickly? I really think you should get it checked out. Missing your period for three months as an adult is not really normal. I know that you've had your tubes tied but it has happened that women who have had their tubes tied have gotten pregnant so a pregnancy test wouldn't hurt. Go see a doctor though just to make sure that it's nothing serious. Keep in mind that many serious conditions can be successfully treated if caught early.

Faye

The average age for menopause is 51, but like others have mentioned, there are cases of this starting earlier. I found this great self-assessment questionnaire that may help with action steps if you are menopausal. http://www. hormonesolutions. com/patients/menopause-self-assessment. htm? a=PAG0001

I have heard of girls who are 17 having menopause so never too young. Have you had any hot flashes or other symptoms?

Having mild period after two years of menopause what is happening?

Avery

had sore breast, menstrual cramping, and then normal light period for seven days after not having one for two years.

Lillia

If you had completely stopped, altogether, and now are having a light period - it probalby would be best to see your gynocologist. Sometimes, this can happen to some women - it is like one period is still there and decides to make an appearance way after menopause.!! There can be many reasons, some not serious and some can be serious. However, anytime, you have bleeding after menopause (menopause meaning no period for at least a year)you should definitely see your gyno to be sure nothing serious is going on. Hope this helps. Edit-----I forgot to ask, are you by any chance on any kind of Hormone Replacement Therapy? This could cause this type of bleeding. You still need to see your gyno.

Luana

idk, but you should probably see a doctor instead of asking hooligans like myself on yahoo
