Am i too young to be going through menopause?

Conception

I havent had my menstration for 3 months now and i m really worried why would i not have my period unless i was going through menopause??? I have had 3 kids, had my tubes tied. I am 36 yrs old.

Lori

It is rather young. However I also went straight into menopause after my tubal ligation. I suspect a connection. Ask your doc for a blood test to check your hormone levels.

It's rare to go into menopause at 36. Have you been very stressed lately or have you gained or lost weight quickly? I really think you should get it checked out. Missing your period for three months as an adult is not really normal. I know that you've had your tubes tied but it has happened that women who have had their tubes tied have gotten pregnant so a pregnancy test wouldn't hurt. Go see a doctor though just to make sure that it's nothing serious. Keep in mind that many serious conditions can be successfully treated if caught early.

The average age for menopause is 51, but like others have mentioned, there are cases of this starting earlier. I found this great self-assessment questionnaire that may help with action steps if you are menopausal. http://www. hormonesolutions. com/patients/menopause-self-assessment. htm? a=PAG0001

I have heard of girls who are 17 having menopause so never too young. Have you had any hot flashes or other symptoms?

What is the best way i can ease menopause symptoms naturally?

Margeret

I was recently diagnosed has going through menopause. Some of my symptoms include feeling sweaty, being tired all the time, mood swings and just not being myself.

Bryanna

White Sage - either tablets or syrup. Black cohosh. Agnus Castus takes down the sweats within minutes. Tincture or tablets. Take something just before you go to bed to combat the night sweats. Worked for me. Neals Yard also do a mixed compound menopause remedy - absolutely great. Dont forget to mix and match it up after a while so your body cant get used to it and build up a resistance. They worked for me!

Iva

not a lot you can do. docs will offer you meds but most will put you in danger of strokes or worse. take vitamins. wear layers of clothes so that you can take things off when you are hot and put them on when you are cold. stay away from alcohol, it tends to exagerate the hot flashes.

Haydee

these are really good for menopause as well.

Anastasia

Try adding soy to your diet. It has phyto estrogens that are similar to natural estrogen.

Andy

take pamprin, it helps me!
