Surrogacy in India Outsourcing It

A Surrogate mother is basically a woman who is paid money in order to conceive and give birth to a child for a couple, who is unable to conceive a child on their own. Surrogate mothers are a boon for the couples who have no hope left of ever experiencing joys of parenthood.

The Indian Scenario

Indian women today are lending their wombs to the international market for conceiving children at $4500- $5000. This concept of the commercialization of surrogacy was legalized since 2002 in India. Since that year, India has become a leader not in fertility treatment methods but rather of the surrogate market. One of the reasons for this is presence of a phenomenal labor class which presents itself for at very low rates.

Surrogacy in India was seen as raising of farms developing human babies. Also Surrogacy in India for most couples who belong to the developed nations is an option which does not only save valuable time but costs mere peanuts as compared to the cost prevalent in their native countries. There are several critics who see this womb hiring from India as an exploitation of the economically poor in the country, by the affluent citizens of developed countries. However, due to legalization and presence of stringent laws the exploitation is no longer that rampant.
