Aspartame, Antidepressants and Birth Control - The Triple Whammy's That Affects Menopause

Surprisingly enough, "it has been construct that the fluctuating hormone levels ly women experience in their perimenopause and menopausal years carry into practice NOT, in and of themselves, mainspring the distressing emotional and psychological symptoms of menopause..." (Dr. Christiane Northrup, "the Wisdom of Menopause") In certainty, women's hormones fluctuate widely ly their entire lives.

Research hasn't been clever to figure out why some women sustain loss more because of it than others. What HAS been cast though, is that the ones who let the most have a type of "pre-existing brain chemistry" that makes them greater degree of susceptible to the harsher menopausal symptoms.

For instance, take your immune system -- if you rubbed your anterior member in dirt back and forth, chances are you would happy get a dirty arm. No other problems. But allowing that you broke the skin first and rubbed your arm back and forward in the dirt, you would in all probability get an infection. You become "excitable."

So how does our brain chemistry adorn susceptible to these harsher symptoms afterward?

In America, I think we're proper susceptible due to a "Triple Threat" that is proper more and more prevalent: hormone & brain-chemistry burst that takes place through repeated application of Diet Sodas (Aspartame), Chemical Birth Controls, and Antidepressants.

Any person of these three can cause major disruption in our hormones and brain chemistry, still all three together, in my view, are major factors in setting us up conducive to that "pre-existing issue" mentioned earlier. Let's take a synopsis look at each one of the three.

First up: Diet Sodas (Aspartame, aka NutraSweet, aka AminoSweet)

Tons of women accept been drinking Diet Sodas for years in one effort to lose weight and eschew calories. We all thought they were invigorating. But according to Newsmax Health Reports, these quiet drinks contain certain things called "excitotoxins" that interfere by hormone balance. They also are rumored to undertaking headaches, moodiness, insomnia, change in affections rates, memory loss and more (doesn't that stable a lot like menopause?) The ly irritating of all is that it interferes by leptin and insulin, and so the want of calories does NOTHING to give a lift you lose weight. What an abuse of a drink.

What makes it worse is that the rise to the of two soda brands out there one as well as the other use "BPA" in the linings of their cans. BPA mimics estrogen. The Endocrine Society concluded (in 2009) that inasmuch as of BPA's hormonal action at draw levels, there may be "no unharmed level of exposure" (ArizonaAdvancedMedicine.com). BPA shows up in 95% of American's urine according to a study by the CDC. Pretty scary obstruct.

Next, let's take a look at Antidepressants

Twice as many women considered in the state of men experience depression and take medication concerning it. Depression is a complicated subject. I won't try to tackle it here, and I'm not at all times implying that anyone should stop captivating their meds. I just want to incite the awareness out there that it, too, affects our endocrine balance and brain chemistry. Some of the well-known lateral effects of the most common, current antidepressants hold anxiety, confusion, headaches, hostility, insomnia, commemorative record lapses, sexual dysfunction, heart attacks, pith gain and even cardiovascular problems. Again -- doesn't that give out a a lot like menopause? I personally confident it is well worth the striving to explore some of the kind approaches that exist for depression (ie: 5-HTP, St. John's Wort, SAMe, etc), for as I said in the emergence of this article, it appears that these chemicals we're putting in our bodies may verily be part of the setup in the "pre-existing brain chemistry" that makes our menopausal change so difficult here in the West.

Lastly, the latest suspected culprit: Birth Control

This is a biggie. Because from excessively young ages, most women are in ctinuance some sort of chemical form of coming into life control that directly alters their endocrine hypothesis. Of course it is a VERY polemical subject to begin with, but to steer all polarizing issues aside, let's consider candidly what's going on in your material substance, hormone-wise, when you're excitement that pill. Most forms of family control are "combination pills" that embody estrogen and progestin. Simply put, they labor by preventing the ovary from releasing eggs, in the midst of other things. Some of them may flat stop the menstrual cycle completely -- and whenever you try to quit those, it be able to take 9 months to 2 years because the menstrual cycle to re-arrange itself. That is pretty much undivided endocrine disruption. If you're in perimenopause or menopause it being so that, there's no doubt that you were with appearance of truth on some sort of chemical origin control for many, many years.

*******************

After potentially 3 decades of altering our pure endocrine systems with various birth repress chemicals, and our brain functionings through chemical sweeteners and antidepressants, it's nay wonder we're messed up when we finally start to enter the vale of years of menopause here in the Western World. But that's the downer party... I want to give everyone more HOPE!

There is a HUGE peremptory side to all of this: we're rightful now learning the effects of altogether the things we've put into our bodies from one to another the years. We're really not to blame. But now that we have the internet, we be able to share our wisdom with many. What's clear about menopause is that it's CELEBRATED taken in the character of "The Age of Wisdom" in the East. Let's applaud it here too! We truly are future in to the fullness of our yes selves. We have SO MUCH to part. Our voice can and will exist heard. And changes will be made because of the better. Not only for ourselves, nevertheless for our daughters and for totality future generations to come.
