Menopause Spotting Is So Inconvenient

Probably most of you who are reading this article are women and will know what menopause spotting is.  But if you don`t, spotting is when spots of blood appear between the monthly period.

And let me tell you now, ruining your nice underwear and feeling as though you have wet yourself, is not a pleasant experience.

Menopause spotting is a symptom of menopause that we can do nothing about, other than wear our oldest underwear and sanitary protection.  It`s also one of the first symptoms that a women experience when entering menopause. Erratic and irregular periods can come under the same heading.

If you`re at an age when your menapause is likely to begin - around  51 - you may well be prepared for your periods to become irregular.  But for some women, who start menopause in their thirties or even younger, it can come as a shock when they begin to see signs of bleeding between periods and often leads to weeks of worry before they eventually seek medical advice.

It`s always worth paying your doctor a visit if you`re bleeding between periods and you`re under 50, as there is a fairly simple test called the FSH test that can tell you whether you have started or are about to start menopause.
