If i am going through menopause can a pregnancy test show positive even if i039m not pregnant ?
Abbey
I'm pretty sure that I am going through menopause right now and I haven't had a period since January. I don't know if I could get pregnant because I have my tubes tied. If I take a pregnancy test can it come out positive, even if I'm not pregnant?

I'm not sure. But getting pregnant after a tubal ligation is not completely unheard of. I had a patient a few days ago who has had hers tied twice, and still gets pregnant, only loses the baby shortly after.

your body only makes the pregnancy hormone when you are pregnant that is it. you should not get a positive. i am young but started early premenapause and i never got a positive until i actually got pregnant. it is possible if you have your tubes tied. after ten years they can come untied. a friend of mine also got hers done and she got pregnant a few months after they were tied. go see a doctor to give you some meds to help regulate out your body and to help with the menopause symptoms.
