A Look Into the Mind of an Anxious Woman

Anxiety is a feeling that impacts everyone at one point in time, feeling nervous or stressed out about something, usually a situation.  However, a person with severe anxiety can make a difference on a person's livelihood.  People may experience anxiety as a child and as they grow up, it continues to linger and it is a feeling that both women and men experience.  Anxiety is an overall body feeling that is difficult to put into words but once it hits, a person needs to analyze what it is that is increasing their anxiety.  There are a few symptoms that are apparent in anxiety and if it is a feeling that is hard to determine initially, it can continue to grow.  Sometimes, it requires seeking treatment if it gets intense so that a person can try to beat the symptoms of anxiety and improve their lives without worry of feeling anxious.

For women who experience anxiety symptoms, they typically peak at an emotional level giving an overwhelming sense of being on overload.  When some of these emotional anxiety symptoms arise, women will start to notice that it will affect their entire body's functioning.  Women have the tendency to lack energy to keep going, they feel nervous, there are sometimes crying fits for no reason at all, feeling unlike themselves, feeling pressured and stressed, uneven breathing patterns, a knotted stomach and a feeling like your heart is racing and going to explode out of your chest.  It is a feeling like your skin is about to crawl and you can't get out of it and sometimes it feels as if you are seeking deep into depression due to the anxiety.

A thing about anxiety symptoms in women is also the unexplainable feeling of fear.  It hinders daily life and keeps you from doing things that you would normally do because you just feel like you cannot handle it.  It is simply adrenaline in the body giving you a rush of fear and panic but the feeling and the fear is typically an irrational response.  However, the racing thoughts and the overwhelming physical feelings are hard to ignore.  Then all of a sudden, just when you start to become more aware of your physical reaction, you get that sudden burst of adrenaline and you can sometimes freeze up and begin to have an anxiety attack.  It makes you feel faint, your limbs may go numb, you feel flushed or hot, your heart is beating uncontrollably, your breathing is shallow and you just have this strange urge to run for really no apparent reason.  You may feel like you are going to choke, pass out or even die and the feeling is indescribable.  However, rather than dying, you are just having a panic attack and these symptoms correlate along with moderate or severe anxiety responses.

The physical symptoms of anxiety and a panic attack can cause great anguish.  It can mess with a person's mind and the anxiety may continue to worsen.  If you notice a change in symptoms or continue to have overwhelming feelings of stress and anxiety, it is wise to talk to your doctor so that you can curb these physical and mental symptoms before they become more severe and turn into a mental disorder.
