Menopause - symptoms and natural remedies

Menopause is stopping spontaneous, complete and physiological of menstrual cycle. Sometimes it is accompanied by physiological and psychological disorders, which are manifestations of an inadequate secretion of estrogen. More appropriate for these disorders is the term climacteric. Age at menopause occurs is 49 years old on average, but individual variations are very high. Perhaps this age is genetically programmed and certainly is not related to the age of first menstruation (menarche).

The diagnosis of menopause is usually obvious and does not require investigation. However, if patients have not yet turned 40, it is important that diagnosis be confirmed by determination of a hormone called FSH (follicle-stimulating hormone). Although it is a physiological state of the body, there are possible some health problems. A complete medical examination is therefore indicated. The most common problems associated with menopause are hot flashes (85% of women), psychological symptoms (65%), dyspareunia (60%), bladder mucosal atrophy accompanied by urinary symptoms (40%), skin problems (35%), and osteoporosis (20%).

• Hot flashes mean wave sensations of heat or redness of skin sensation usually accompanied by sweating. There are no complications, but they are in themselves very annoying. Occur when you least expect it and can take years before and after menopause. Drug treatment can be done with substances that act on blood vessel reactivity. Natural medicine is very effective and usually preferable.
