Women Have a Choice

Deciding to have an abortion can be a difficult and emotional decision for most women. The state of California allows abortion at any time during the pregnancy. This is why women, who take their time to decide, often sign up for a late abortion.

Abortion cannot be seen as a mere medical procedure. Women of all ages and social backgrounds when confronted with the decision, have a difficult choice to make. Referring to abortion as simply termination of pregnancy in a clinical manner does not suffice to calm the patient's emotional state. When choosing abortion, a woman should have clarity of thought, her friends' & family's support, and most importantly, an experts answers to every abortion related question that she might have. Sometimes, women need to be counseled about their options to help them make the right choice for themselves.

Women usually have to hurry through the decision process, as early abortions are considered safer and faster. But if you are in the state of California, you can take your time making up your mind and can sign up for a safe and secure abortion during a later stage of the pregnancy, because California law allows abortion anytime during pregnancy. The legal requirements are that the medical procedure be performed by a licensed physician, intending to terminate the pregnancy at any gestational age of the fetus.
